You may have noticed that the early May bank holiday does not fall on the same day as usual this year. Whilst traditionally held on a Monday, for 2020 it has been put back to Friday 8th to coincide with the 75th anniversary of VE Day. Across Europe, friends and family will be joining together to reflect upon this historic day and toast to the heroes of WW2. With the beach on your doorstep, you will find plenty of reasons to get outside and breathe in that fresh sea air. Kick off your shoes and explore the dog-friendly beaches, and, if you fancy, stroll into the historic village of Angmering on Sea to hear the Church bells sing for the Ringing Out For Peace. Continue on just two estates along and you will come to Kingston Gorse, where you will be able to see its war memorial and perhaps attend a VE Day ceremony. And when the evening finally falls, raise a glass to the sky as you dine out under the stars in your spacious outdoor seating area.
From London, it is only a simple 90 minute journey to get to our houses, giving you plenty of time to make the most out of your three night break.
