What To Do At The Seaside

Only 90 minutes from London, all five of our luxury properties are only ever a pebble throw from the quiet beaches of West Sussex. So once you’ve booked your holiday, you may be wondering what you can get up to at the beach? Whilst the opportunities are endless, we thought we’d compile a little list of some of our favourite things to do at the seaside.
Get sandy with the little ones
What better way is there to spend some quality time with the whole family than at the beach? No matter what their age, there is plenty to keep the kiddies entertained. So grab your buckets and spades and get ready for some sand-castle competitions, British Bulldog, scavenger hunts and rock pooling. (And don’t forget the sun cream!)
Dog walks
For those of you with four-legged friends, you will be happy to know that the beaches are dog-friendly all year round! Whether its brisk sunrise jogs or slow sunset strolls, there is plenty of room for both you and your pooch to stretch the legs. Holidays should not have to mean waving goodbye to your furry companions. That’s why, not only do we pride ourselves in making sure all five of our houses are pet-friendly, but we encourage you to bring them!
Play in the surf
A day at the beach would not be complete without a quick paddle in the sea! Yet why not take it to the next level and try out some water sports! West Sussex has the ideal conditions for sailing, as well as wind surfing, paddle boarding, kayaking and more. New to water sports? Book yourself a one-on-one or group lesson at one of the local hire shops
Treat yourself to a seaside lunch
With all this activity you are bound to build up an appetite. If you’re looking to eat along the beach, you will be spoilt for choice! Our favourites include Seaview Freehouse, Sea Horse Café, The Bluebird Cafe and the East Beach Cafe in Littlehampton. Expect everything from fish and chips and crab linguini, to burgers and salads, there is plenty to keep everyone happy, as well as lots of kid-friendly options too! What’s better, they are dog-friendly too!
Relax!
Our final, and perhaps most important activity of all, is to RELAX. At the end of the day, holidays are about getting some well-earned rest and relaxation. So whether that’s getting lost in a good book, listening to your favourite playlist or simply catching some rays, take the time to indulge in yourself.
